It’s absolutely wonderful when we can save money – in any economy. But when we can get more while paying less – now, that’s a deal!

And Comcast knows this, thank goodness. They recently rolled out their Double Play packages. Consumers can now choose two of their regular offerings and enjoy some pretty attractive discounts at the same time.

Comcast started, like most cable providers, with only a cable television service. They have since added Internet, digital voice, and a very comprehensive total HD package that pretty much blows their competition out of the water. Even their cable internet service is far superior to any DSL offering out there.

Do you have a TV? A computer? A telephone? If you answered “yes” to even two of these, then get on the phone to Comcast right now and figure out which two services you want to bundle together for your Double Play discount! No long term commitments, no fine print to deal with. You do get great service and fast reliable installation. Take advantage of their $2. 99 a month maintenance program and you’ll never pay for another service call or repair on your covered plans.

The TV and Internet combo is the most popular package. With this plan you do get “regular” cable, however, for only $9. 99 a month extra you can upgrade to HD. Since Comcast broadcasts more programs in HD, this is a no-brainer. They frequently have telephone only special deals for these HD boxes, so don’t forget to ask when you call.

If you are one of the unlucky consumers who got suckered into a long term contract with one of those satellite TV companies, you may want to consider the other options for your Double Play: Internet and digital telephone. (You may also want to do yourself a favor and pay off this other company and sign on with Comcast Double Play Deals or better pricing, better service, and better reception.) In any case, try the phone and Internet – you won’t be sorry. Just be aware that these two services run on the same cables, so if one goes out, they both go out. Interruption is minimal; in many cases you never even know about it.

Using wireless? No problem. You should try the television and phone combo. Some areas haven’t finished implementing the digital voice technology, but when you finally are given the option – grab it. Nothing beats digital telephone service! Comcast also adds options for free (caller ID, voicemail, etc.), for which competitors charge a fortune.
